Due to the slow working of the intestines,the process of passing of food through the digestive system also slows down. Due to this the problem of constipation occurs.

- Increase the amount of fiber in your diet slowly.Taking too much together can cause stomach cramps. Instead of eating one meal at a time,eat little by little throughout the day.Apart from this, whenever you take such a diet, drink sufficient amount of water.
- Take as much liquid food as possible.Drink fruit juice, coconut water, buttermilk, lemonade and lassi etc every two hours in a day.Drink at least eight to 12 glasses of water.Start the morning by drinking lukewarm water.
- Increase physical activity.Do exercises and yoga as directed by the doctor. Take a walk for a while in the morning and evening.
